She saw herself as a professional ballet dancer, so she trained a lot. In one moment she realized she was meant to do something else. Threads that were driving her arms and legs were no longer relevant and suddenly she started to catch movements seen in dreams. Kylli Sparre, artist and photographer, is involved in making photography and image manipulation. The influence of her past career is immediately apparent when viewing her conceptual photographs that depict posed figures, taunt with energy, at the peak of choreographed motion. Her work is surreal, dreamlike and usually features women as the subject matter. In one interview on question what message does she hope to communicate (if any) with her images Kylli says that she is trying to communicate the way how she sees the world, the way how she feels or the way she thinks others might feel. She believes she communicates with emotions, and that her emotions communicate with something that has been under the surface or overlooked. She lives in Tallinn, Estonia.
